Swedish massage is the one most people picture when they hear the word, and there is a good reason it has lasted: it works. Smooth, gliding strokes with oil or cream, long enough to reach the whole body, at a pressure that lets your nervous system stand down.

That last part is the point. Your body cannot repair while it is braced. Sustained stress keeps muscle tone up, disturbs sleep and slows healing. An hour of steady, predictable, unhurried touch is one of the more reliable ways to talk a system down out of that. People often fall asleep. That is not a waste of the session, that is the session working.

I do not treat this as the lightweight option. I integrate other techniques as I find things — a little more attention here, a slower pass there — so a relaxation session still leaves you moving better than you arrived, not just calmer. Circulation improves, the muscles let go, and the mind usually follows.

You do not need a diagnosis or a problem area to book this. Being tired down to your bones is reason enough.
